Frequently asked questions about reinventing yourself after success | Beyond Success Method™
Frequently asked questions

FAQ

What you may be asking yourself when success is no longer enough.

If you have built a solid professional career —as an executive, business owner, doctor, lawyer or independent professional— and feel that your life no longer fits your new priorities, here are clear answers: about that stage of life, about Beyond Success Method™ —a private nine-month method to redesign your life— and about how to get started.

When you have come a long way and something does not fit

Why do I feel something is missing when I have everything?

Most likely because you have evolved and your life is still organised as it was before. It is not ingratitude or a psychological problem: it is a design problem. Your priorities have changed, yet the structure of your life (diary, goals, relationships, money) is still the one you had years ago.

Is it normal not to feel fully fulfilled after achieving professional success?

It is very common, and it does not mean something is wrong with you. It tends to appear when achievements keep adding up but no longer translate into meaning. Beyond Success Method™ starts from a simple idea: that feeling is not resolved with one more achievement, but by redesigning your life around your new priorities.

What should you do when you have achieved everything you wanted and you are not happy?

First, stop looking for the answer in the next goal. Then look at your whole life —work, finances, home and family, relationships, fitness and wellbeing, personal growth, leisure and fun, physical environment and financial freedom— and review what still makes sense and what no longer does. That is exactly what Beyond Success Method™ works on, with method and over nine months.

Why does every achievement leave me asking ‘what now?’

Because goals are being pursued out of inertia rather than from a direction of your own. When there is no purpose for this stage of life, every goal achieved leaves the same question behind. In the method, the Purpose pillar is where you decide where you want to direct your effort in this new chapter.

Why do my achievements sound better than they feel?

It is usually a sign of misalignment between what you have built and your new priorities. Your career works on the outside, but on the inside it no longer fully reflects what matters to you now. There is no need to tear down what you have built: what is needed is to redesign how it fits a woman who has evolved and has different priorities.

Why do I feel as if I am playing a role?

Because over the years your identity has gradually merged with your job title and with other people's expectations. It happens more easily when you have spent years in a role or profession with a great deal of responsibility. The Identity work in the method separates who you are from what you do, so that you can decide from there.

Am I having a midlife crisis at 50?

Not necessarily, and the label matters little. What you may be experiencing is not a crisis but the natural consequence of having evolved: the life that worked at one stage no longer fits the next. It is better approached as a redesign than as a problem.

Is it a midlife crisis or something deeper?

Rather than a crisis, it is usually a mismatch between your new priorities and the life you are still living. It does not arise from failure; it often appears in the middle of success. That is why it is not resolved with an isolated change, but by reviewing your life as a system.

Why am I tired when my life is working?

Because keeping up a life that no longer reflects your priorities takes a great deal of effort, even when everything works on the outside. Full diaries, postponed decisions and a role to maintain weigh more than they seem. If the tiredness is persistent or affects your health, please consult a healthcare professional first.

Is it wrong to want something more when I already have everything?

No. Wanting something different is not ingratitude: it is a sign that you have evolved. Ambition is not the problem; the problem is ambition without a direction of your own. Reviewing what you want now is a grown-up decision, not a whim.

Is it too late to reinvent myself at 50?

No. At this age you have experience, judgement and resources you did not have before, and that makes reinvention more solid. Reinventing yourself does not mean starting from scratch, but building your next chapter on everything you already know and already are.

How do I know whether I need a change or I am just tired?

A good indicator is whether the unease disappears after a holiday or always comes back to the same question. If, after resting, you still feel that your life does not represent you, it is not just tiredness: it is a sign that something is asking to be redesigned. The Life Design Session™ exists precisely to assess this.

Why do I find it so hard to make decisions about my life when I make decisions all day at work?

Because at work you decide within a clear framework, with goals and data, and in your personal life that framework does not exist or is out of date. You have proved that you know how to lead and deliver results; applying that same capability to your own life requires a structure of your own. That is what the method provides.

What does it mean to feel that the life I have no longer represents me?

It means your identity has evolved and your way of living has not kept pace. Your values, priorities and wishes have changed, but your diary, your commitments and your goals are still the ones you had years ago. It is the central idea behind Beyond Success Method™.

Why do I feel I am living on autopilot when everything is going well?

Because your life is still running on decisions made years ago. You deliver, you solve and you move forward, but out of inertia. It is not a lack of gratitude or willpower: it is a sign that you have evolved and the structure of your life has not yet caught up. Living on autopilot is not fixed by trying harder, but by redesigning around your new priorities.

How do I break the loop of setting one goal after another?

By no longer looking for the answer in the next goal. The loop —goal, achievement and ‘what now?’ all over again— repeats itself when there is no direction of your own for this stage of life. It is broken by first deciding where you want to direct your effort and then which goals make sense. That is the work of the Purpose pillar.

Is it mental load, or does my life simply no longer fit?

It can be both. Mental load means carrying the organisation of everything and everyone in your head. But if, even when you delegate and rest, you still feel your diary works for everyone except you, the problem is not only how tasks are shared: it is one of design. In the method, priorities, time and agreements are reviewed as a system.

Is it burnout, or does my life no longer represent me?

Burnout is a work-related health problem and should be assessed by a healthcare professional: if you are experiencing persistent exhaustion, please see your doctor first. Beyond Success Method™ does not treat it. If, once that has been ruled out, what you feel is that your life works but no longer reflects your priorities, we are talking about a redesign, not a treatment.

Is it impostor syndrome, or have I stopped recognising myself in my role?

They are not the same. So-called impostor syndrome means doubting your ability despite your results. What many women with a solid career describe is something else: they know they are capable, but feel they are playing a role that no longer represents them. This is addressed in the Identity pillar, by separating who you are from what you do.

Identity and purpose

Who am I beyond my job title?

It is one of the central questions of the method. Your identity is made up of your values, talents, wishes and boundaries, not the title on your business card. In the Identity pillar you work towards being able to define yourself without mentioning your job, and to use that definition as a basis for your decisions.

How do I find my purpose at 50?

Purpose is not found: it is decided. You choose what you want to devote your effort to at this stage, based on your new priorities. In the method it is written down as a purpose for this stage that brings order to your decisions.

How do I recover my identity after years of putting others first?

By starting to distinguish what you chose from what you inherited or took on out of responsibility. Reviewing your values, roles and mandates shows you what is still truly yours. You can keep caring for the people you love and, at the same time, include yourself in your own decisions again.

What if I no longer know what I want?

It is a more common starting point than you might think, and it is not a problem. Knowing what you want does not come from waiting: it is built through a structured process. That is why the method begins with Clarity and Identity before designing anything.

How do I define success on my own terms?

By reviewing which part of your idea of success is truly yours and which part you inherited: from your family, your company or your surroundings. From there you can formulate a personal definition of success to guide your decisions. It is part of the work in the first phase of the method.

What is personal leadership?

It means applying to your own life the same leadership you bring to your work: deciding with sound judgement, prioritising and taking ownership of your life. Beyond Success Method™ treats personal leadership as the foundation for every other decision.

Time, diary and priorities

What role does time play in Beyond Success Method™?

Time is not just another dimension of your life: it runs through all of them. Your work, your family, your health and your relationships all live on the time and attention you give them. That is why the method does not treat it as a separate area: the 360° Wheel of Life shows you where your time and attention go today, and over nine months you redesign how to allocate them according to your new priorities. It is present throughout the process, with particular focus in the Life Design and Personal Freedom pillars.

How do I regain control of my time when my diary is impossible?

By designing your diary around your priorities, instead of fitting your priorities into whatever gaps your diary leaves. In the method you work on the week and the year you want to live, with protected time and small changes that are tested before making bigger decisions.

I don't have time for a process like this. Is it for me?

A diary that leaves no room even for you is precisely one of the things the method helps to change. The process is designed for demanding schedules: it requires around two hours a week, organised around your calendar, with online access to the content.

How can I combine a demanding career with a personal life that feels meaningful?

Rather than seeking a perfect balance, it is about designing a coherent life in which work takes the place you decide. That means reviewing priorities, time, relationships and strategy as one system, not separately.

Why does my personal life always end up in the gaps left by work?

Because your diary has been built by default rather than by design. When nobody consciously decides where your personal life fits, the urgent takes over. The Life Design pillar is where you decide it deliberately.

How do I stop living on autopilot?

By writing down what your life looks like today and how you want it to be, and making small, concrete decisions that can be sustained over time. Autopilot is not switched off by willpower, but by a design that makes it easier to live the way you have decided.

Relationships and environment

How do my relationships affect my next chapter?

A great deal: no redesigned life holds up on relationships that are still waiting for the previous version of you. That is why the method devotes an entire pillar to Relationships: partner, family, friends and professional circle.

How do I have the conversations I have been putting off for years?

By preparing them with clarity about what you want to say, why, and what you need from the other person. In the method, pending conversations are worked on as part of the redesign, because changing your life without renegotiating your relationships rarely works.

Why do I feel lonely even when I am surrounded by people?

Often because there are few people with whom you can be yourself without editing yourself, something common in leadership positions. Reviewing your network of relationships helps you see which ones support you today and which you keep out of habit.

Do I need to change my partner or my surroundings to change my life?

No. Redesigning your life does not mean breaking with everything, but reviewing how your relationships fit the person you are now. Very often what changes is not the people, but the conversations and the agreements.

Money and financial freedom

What does financial freedom mean in Beyond Success Method™?

It means money no longer limits your life decisions and is instead at the service of the life you choose. It is worked on through clarity about your situation, organisation and criteria of your own. It is education and personal strategy, not regulated financial advice.

Why do I earn well and still feel financially insecure?

Because financial peace of mind depends less on how much you earn than on how clear you are about what is enough for the life you want. A financial fear that has never been quantified tends to hold back important decisions. Putting it in order gives you back the ability to decide.

What is the sufficiency number?

It is the figure that answers the question ‘how much is enough for the life I want to live?’. Being clear about it helps you make life decisions with sound judgement rather than out of fear. It is worked on in the Financial Freedom pillar.

Does Beyond Success Method™ offer financial or investment advice?

No. No financial products are recommended and no returns are promised. The work focuses on your relationship with money, your clarity and your decision criteria; for investment decisions, the right course is to consult an authorised financial adviser.

Can I change my life without putting my financial stability at risk?

That is precisely why strategy and financial freedom are worked on within the same system. A phased transition plan, with the risks identified, allows you to change without hasty decisions. Redesigning does not mean giving up what you have built.

Reinvention and major decisions

How do I reinvent myself without starting from scratch?

By keeping what still makes sense and redesigning what no longer represents you. Your experience, judgement and resources are the foundation of your next chapter, not something to leave behind.

Should I leave my job?

It is a decision that deserves to be taken with clarity, not out of exhaustion. Swinging between ‘I'll drop everything’ and ‘I can't change anything’ is very common; what helps is seeing what is reversible, what is not, and what the smallest move is that would change the most. That is the work of the Strategy pillar.

How do I make a major life decision with clarity?

With criteria of your own: knowing your new priorities, which values you want to protect and which direction you have chosen for this stage. Once those criteria exist, deciding stops being an exercise in fear and becomes an exercise in coherence.

What does redesigning your life mean?

It means consciously reviewing every area that makes it up —work, finances, home and family, relationships, fitness and wellbeing, personal growth, leisure and fun, physical environment and financial freedom— and deciding how you want them to fit together in the chapter you are starting. It is not about changing one piece: it is about changing the structure from which you decide.

How do I plan a new professional and personal chapter at the same time?

By treating them as a single system, because every professional decision affects your time, your relationships and your finances. The method brings both together in a transition plan by time horizon, with dated decisions and a concrete first step.

Beyond Success Method™ and Integral Life Design™

What is Beyond Success Method™?

Beyond Success Method™ is a private nine-month method to redesign your life and shape your next chapter, created for you if you have built a solid professional career, whatever your profession: executive, business owner, doctor, lawyer, independent professional… It works on the 9 dimensions of your life —work, finances, home and family, relationships, fitness and wellbeing, personal growth, leisure and fun, physical environment and financial freedom— as one system, through The 9 Pillars™ and three phases.

What is Integral Life Design™?

Integral Life Design™ is the discipline created by Beyond Success™ that brings together human development, personal strategy, leadership and freedom to design a 360° life. Instead of working on one isolated area, it redesigns how all the areas of life fit together.

How is it different from coaching?

Coaching usually focuses on a specific goal within your current life. Beyond Success Method™ reviews your whole life —work, finances, home and family, relationships, fitness and wellbeing, personal growth, leisure and fun, physical environment and financial freedom— with phases, tools and a system you keep once it ends.

How is it different from mentoring or a master's degree?

Mentoring passes on someone else's path, and a master's degree gives you knowledge. This method gives you a structure to build your own path and apply it to your real life, during the nine months and beyond.

Is it a personal development programme?

Not exactly. Personal development usually works on specific aspects of a person; Beyond Success Method™ designs the complete architecture of your life, with method, phases and a practical outcome.

Is it therapy?

No. It is a life design method: it works on the future and does not treat the past or health problems. It is not a substitute for psychological or medical care; if, during the process, it becomes clear that such support is needed, you will be advised to see a professional.

What are The 9 Pillars™?

They are the nine stages of the redesign: Clarity, Identity, Purpose, Life Design, Relationships, Strategy, Personal Freedom, Financial Freedom and Integration. They are worked through in order, one pillar a month, because each one prepares the next. They are not the areas of your life —those are the 9 dimensions of the 360° Wheel of Life— but the path to redesigning them. The nine dimensions are worked on throughout the programme: there is no one dimension per month. ‘Finances’ covers your financial situation today; ‘Financial Freedom’, the ability to build resources from now on so that you can live your future life with greater peace of mind.

What is the 360° Integration Framework™?

It is the compass of the method: it brings The 9 Pillars™ together in one system, with you at the centre. It starts from a simple idea: your life works as an ecosystem and, when one dimension changes, all the others change too. If the 360° Wheel of Life is the map of where you are, the compass shows the way.

What are the dimensions of your life in Beyond Success Method™?

There are 9: work, finances, home and family, relationships, fitness and wellbeing, personal growth, leisure and fun, physical environment and financial freedom. Together they form the 360° Wheel of Life, the map of your life: you rate each one from 0 to 10 according to where you are today and see at a glance what is in balance and what calls for change. Time and consistency run through them all.

How do the dimensions differ from The 9 Pillars™?

The dimensions are the map: the areas that make up your life, which you see on the 360° Wheel of Life. The 9 Pillars™ are the path: the nine stages, one a month, through which you redesign them. Some pillars share their name with a dimension, such as Relationships; others work on several at once, such as Life Design (health, home, leisure and physical environment) or Financial Freedom (finances); and others, such as Clarity or Integration, are not an area of your life but a moment in the process.

What are the phases of the method?

Three phases of three months each: Reconnection (Clarity, Identity and Purpose), Re-Design (Life Design, Relationships and Strategy) and Expansion (Personal Freedom, Financial Freedom and Integration). First who you are, then how you live and, finally, how far you go.

What is The Beyond Success Journey™?

It is the name of the nine-month journey through which the method is applied, organised into three phases and nine pillars. In the in-person format, it ends with the Birth Ceremony™, the symbolic close of the process.

How the process works

How does the process work?

It is a private, personal process that combines one-to-one work with your mentor, exercises and time for personal reflection, with online access to your content; the in-person format adds the immersive experiences. It lasts nine months, with one pillar each month.

How much time do I need to commit to it?

The average commitment is around two hours a week, adapted to each participant's schedule and circumstances. Some activities can be done at the weekend or fitted into available moments, such as certain journeys, whenever the activity allows it.

Why does it last nine months?

Because a lasting redesign takes time. The nine months represent the gestation of a new stage in your life: each pillar builds on the one before and each phase prepares the next.

Is it a group process?

No. The work is individual, one-to-one with your mentor, with the attention a life redesign requires, so that each process is genuinely personal.

Is it confidential?

Yes. It is a private process: nobody needs to know you are doing it, and what you work on stays between you and your mentor. What is more, no two processes are the same: each one is tailored to your personal and professional situation.

Is it online or in person?

It can be done online or in person. The method and the one-to-one work are the same; the in-person format adds sessions in carefully chosen settings, the immersive experiences (Vision Board and Aromatherapy) and the closing Birth Ceremony™. The format is agreed in the Life Design Session™. Either way, you have online access to your content.

In which languages is it available?

In Spanish, Catalan and English.

What do I take away at the end?

A complete redesign of your life and, above all, a structure of your own to keep deciding, prioritising and redesigning your next chapters. At the close you receive your Life Birth Letter™; in the in-person format, as part of the Birth Ceremony™.

Will I depend on my mentor after the process?

No. The aim is quite the opposite: for you to leave with your own judgement and a system you can keep using on your own. The process succeeds when you no longer need it.

How much does Beyond Success Method™ cost?

The investment depends on the format and is explained in the Life Design Session™, once we have assessed whether the method fits where you are. It is a nine-month investment and it is not for everyone: the initial conversation exists precisely so that you can decide with full information.

Are results guaranteed?

No guaranteed results are promised, because they depend on your commitment and your circumstances. What is guaranteed is a structured method, serious work and honesty from the very first conversation.

Who it is for

Who is Beyond Success Method™ for?

It is for you if you have built a solid professional career —as an executive, business owner, entrepreneur, partner in a firm, doctor, lawyer, architect, consultant, pharmacist, teacher or researcher, or any other independent professional— have entered a new stage and want to redesign your life without giving up what you have built.

Who is it for?

This is for you if:

  • You have been through a major change —chosen or unexpected— that has led you to rethink certain things.
  • You are concerned about the paradigm shift AI is bringing to your profession and wonder how it will affect you personally in the coming years.
  • Nothing in particular has happened, but you are at a point in life where your priorities have changed, and you want to reset and decide what your next chapter will look like.
  • You are willing to devote nine months to doing it with method, with strategy and with tailored one-to-one support.

Over nine months you do not just work on goals: you work on the structure from which you make decisions across the 9 dimensions of your life, with a 360° view. When you finish, that structure is yours.

In every dimension of your life you will have defined your own KPIs, set out in the Beyond Success Life Birth Letter™, the document that brings together everything you have discovered about yourself, the life you have designed and your commitment to keep building it. With strategy, with analysis and from a place of freedom.

The aim is for you to leave knowing how to decide, prioritise, organise and redesign the next stages of your life on your own, with the same strategy. Because designing a life is not a destination. It is a practice.

When a situation calls for clinical treatment, the right course is to see a healthcare professional first.

Do I need to be going through a crisis?

No. The starting point is usually that you have evolved: your priorities have changed and your life has not yet adapted. Nothing needs to be going wrong for you to want to design your next chapter.

Is it for me if I am not an executive? What if I am a doctor, a lawyer or an independent professional?

Yes. The method does not depend on your role or sector, but on your stage of life. It may suit you if you are a business owner or entrepreneur, a partner in a professional firm, a doctor, lawyer, architect, pharmacist, psychologist, consultant, teacher or researcher, an independent professional, or if you hold a position of responsibility in a company, the public sector or a social organisation. What matters is that you have built a solid career and want to redesign how everything fits together.

Can Beyond Success Method™ be for a man?

Yes. Estefania Fenoy has focused Beyond Success Method™ on women because her own experience allows her to understand first-hand what these stages feel like, and with a woman she finds it far easier to empathise with every nuance of the situation. But the method —its three phases, The 9 Pillars™ and its tools— applies equally well to anyone who has evolved and wants to redesign their life. If you are a man and recognise yourself in this moment, the Life Design Session™ is the place to explore it together.

Is there a right age for it?

There is no fixed age. It usually suits women between 45 and 60, when your career is established and you start thinking about your next chapter, but what matters is your stage of life, not your age.

After the method

What happens when the nine months are over?

The process ends and the chapter you have designed begins. You take your decision-making system with you and, if you wish, you can join The Beyond Success Circle™, the private community where you keep designing your life in good company.

What is The Beyond Success Circle™?

It is the private community you join on completing the method, to keep reviewing and designing your life alongside other women who have walked the same path.

What is the Life Design Portal™?

It is your private digital space while you work through the method: it holds the materials, tools and resources of the process.

What are the Birth Ceremony™ and the Life Birth Letter™?

The Birth Ceremony™ is the symbolic close of the nine months, exclusive to the in-person format. You receive the Life Birth Letter™ in both formats: it is a document that captures everything you have discovered about yourself, the life you have designed and your commitment to keep building it.

The first step

How do I start?

With a Life Design Session™: a private conversation to understand where you are and explore whether the method is your next step. You can request it from the contact page.

What is the Life Design Session™?

It is a private and confidential conversation. Its purpose is to understand where you are, which areas of your life are out of alignment and to assess honestly whether Beyond Success Method™ is your next step.

Who created Beyond Success Method™?

Estefania Fenoy, life reinvention mentor, after a career of more than 25 years in multinationals and the redesign of her own life. She has trained in life and business coaching, neurocoaching, leadership, emotional intelligence and financial freedom. She works in Spanish, Catalan and English. Read her story.
